CIDAUT Foundation


The Foundation for Research and Development in Transport and Energy, CIDAUT Foundation was established in 1993 as a private non-profit which was declared of public interest and it is located in the Technological Park of Boecillo (Valladolid). CIDAUT has a total area of ​​23.300m2 of facilities for R & D + i with a research staff of 304 people with a high degree of skill and expertise.

CIDAUT objectives are to enhance the competitiveness and development of industrial companies in the transport and energy sectors and promote the use of technology, design and manufacturing of new products and the development of advanced programs for the improvement of all industrial processes. In order to achieve these objectives, CIDAUT has arranged a special working method from which addresses all stages associated with new product development: from conception to pre-industrialization, through materials characterization, simulation of its behavior, processing, prototyping and finally, validation, performing work closely with the client company.

Since eight years ago, CIDAUT researches in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells. The main objective of the research into hydrogen within the energy and environment area is the development of knowledge and industrial capabilities for making available in the next decade a set of technologies to tackle the challenge of the introduction of hydrogen as an energy carrier.

CIDAUT works in this area ranges from the development of technologies for hydrogen production, through the integration of systems for use in various energy applications while also working the very development of fuel cell components and other equipment needed for the use of hydrogen.
