Conferences:

  • International Conference: Hydrogen on Islands: Island of Brač, Croatia, from 22nd to 25th October 2008This conference has the goal to establish clean hydrogen energy systems on islands worldwide in order to provide a basis for sustainable development, and at the same time preserve their pristine environment. With renewable hydrogen energy systems, islands can become energy self-sufficient and serve as showcases for the development of a global hydrogen energy system. Hydrogen complements renewable energy technologies, not only solving the problem of their intermittent availability, but also serving as a clean, renewable, locally produced fuel for transportation. More info at http://www.em.com.hr/hydrogenislands/home

  • Workshop on Regional Development and Hydrogen Projects. This event, about Regional Development and Hydrogen projects, has been organised by Roads2HyCom in co-operation with HyRaMP. It will give some information on how to set up a successful hydrogen and fuel cell project with a long-term perspective. It will take place on 29th of May 2008, in the Royal Academy of Science, Brussel. Official invitation and program are available here.
  • 3rd CESSA Conference: Prospects for a European Hydrogen Economy: Madrid, from 14th to 15th of April 2008. The main objective of this meeting is to explore the role to be possibly played by hydrogen in the context of the security of energy supply in the EU. At the moment, hydrogen is a promising alternative. However, in order for hydrogen to become a working part of the energy system, huge amounts have to be invested in research, development and new infrastructure. The conference aims at clarifying the magnitude of the challenge, identifying the most promising tracks to be followed, and setting the frame to discuss the expected gains, given the expected costs. • The StorHy Consortium will present the results and achievements of the project at the StorHy Final Event: Paris, from 3rd to 4th of June 2008. The EU-funded Integrated Project StorHy contributes to the development of robust, safe and efficient on-board hydrogen storage systems suitable for use in hydrogen vehicles with fuel cell or internal combustion engine. The project promotes the intensive collaboration of major European stakeholders in industry and research regarding hydrogen storage. At the StorHy Final event, the project partners aim to present results and achievements of the project and to discuss future perspectives and R&D needs with external experts. Several technical workshops on hydrogen storage technologies are planned to facilitate discussions and exchanges among StorHy partners and external experts. For more details, please download the StorHy Final Event Pre-Announcement and Draft Schedule.

  • 3rd Professional Meeting on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells. November, 13th to 15th, 2007 in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). The Goverment of Galicia, the Spanish Hydrogen Association, the Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE), the Fisheries Technology Center and ARIEMA Enerxia are pleasent to invite you to participate in this event where companies and R&D entitie with activities on H2&FC will show their products, projects and capabilities on these technologies. More info.

  • Technology Cooperation Event on Energy and EcoBuilding. November, 20th, 2007 in Valencia (Spain). In the frame of EXPOENERGETICA, Internation Week for Renewable and Conventional Energy, this event will consist on bilateral meetings based on a catalogue of technology offers and request. The event will provide an international and technological scenario for companies interested in finding out about the latest European technologies in energy and in holding bilateral meetings aimed at reaching cooperative agreements on technology transfer. The deadlines to register and insert technology offers and requests is the 31st of October 2007. In order to participate you can directly register at: http://expoenergetica.ircnet.lu
